I have had to use their service a couple different times now for things from expired tags to speeding tickets I forgot about and every time is such full coverage help. They immediately remove the stress of the ticket! They keep you updated the whole process and go above and beyond to make sure they get the issue resolved quickly as well as thoroughly. I'll always recommend DWI Springfield to anyone I hear needing a life jacket drowning in the chaos of legal systems.

What are the penalties for a DWI?

Being charged with driving while intoxicated is a serious offense. In the short-term, you face a hefty fine and the possibility of jail time. However, the long-term consequences can be just as severe – increased insurance rates, revoked driving privileges, potential loss of employment, and a criminal record. Everybody makes bad decisions – don’t let your DWI turn your life upside down. Let our experienced, aggressive criminal defense attorneys fight for you.

How can I get the best results?

If you’ve been charged with an alcohol-related offense, there are a few steps you should take to get the best possible results. First, find an experienced attorney to help guide you through the complex criminal process. Second, demonstrate remorse by quickly completing SATOP and volunteering some time at a local non-profit organization. Third, and most importantly, learn from your mistake. Stay out of trouble while your DWI is pending or while you are on probation.

    Will I need SR-22 insurance?

SR-22 is the name of the document insurance companies can send to the Department of Revenue to confirm that a driver is covered by auto insurance. An SR-22 policy is required for a two-year period following any DWI-related suspension of your driving privileges. If you need SR-22 insurance, call your agent to check availability. Not every insurance company offers SR-22. If you are having difficulties finding a provider, we recommend consulting Jessica McClish with American Family Insurance at (417) 883-0404.

Do I need to take SATOP?

SATOP stands for Substance Abuse Traffic Offender Program. It consists of four possible levels of treatment, ranging from Level I (a 10-hour alcohol awareness class) to Level IV (a minimum of 51 hours of substance abuse counseling). Every Missouri resident with a suspended license resulting from a DUI or DWI must be evaluated for SATOP and complete the recommended level of treatment to have their license reinstated. We recommend taking SATOP in Springfield at Missouri Alternatives. You can reach their office at (417) 883-7227.

Will I need to attend Court?

If you’ve been charged with felony for driving while intoxicated or have been released on bond, the Judge will likely expect you to attend every hearing until your case is closed. If you’ve been charged with a misdemeanor, there’s a good chance our attorneys can attend most court hearings in your place. When a personal appearance is required, we will make sure you are notified and well-prepared. Our team is usually able to predict if you will need to attend during our initial consultation.

How much are your attorney fees?

Properly defending DWI cases is a lengthy and demanding process. Our attorney fees start at $1,000.00 and increase depending on the exact charges(s), the jurisdiction where it occurred, and how you’d like it handled. We are happy to provide our clients with payment plans. Please give us a call for a free consultation, so that we can offer you a more precise quote and talk about your options moving forward.
